Somehow I turned on the display paragraph marks, spaces, and other special characters in my outlook 2007 new email messages and I can't find a way to turn it off. I am looking for the outlook equivalent of the Word 2007 Show/Hide command that is in the paragraph section of the toolbar ribbon, whose icon in the toolbar is a paragraph mark. This tip should work for Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010 and probably most older and newer versions. This fix will only apply to emails that are being composed in HTML or Rich text. View options will vary slightly, depending on the version of Outlook that you are using. To change the view options in Outlook, follow these steps.

In the ribbon, select the View tab.
In the Current View area, click View Settings.
Click Filter, and then review the following tabs tabs for any selections that could filter out specific messages:

I search for an answer and did not find a solution. It tried again, and came across this. It worked

I went to the outlook, on my mac, and renamed the folder producing the error. I removed the two spaces between two words, and it worked. I hope this helps.
